“If you think about human life as a stream which each of us with our own boats sail down, and ultimately end up in the sea. This song is the Niagara falls that suddenly appears behind a curve. The moment at the top of the waterfall when one part of your brain is still telling you that a return to the past is still possible. Even though nothing will be the same. Ever again,” the brothers say about the new single.

To promote this new release, the band themselves have put together an amazing action-packed video. The music video premiere will be in cooperation with Samsung Finland on Thursday, August 29th at noon (GMT+3) through Samsung’s social media streams and website. The video will also be shown in Samsung’s new shop opening on the same day in the new shopping mall City Center in Helsinki. The band will perform acoustically at 17:30. In the UK, the video will be premiered through Classic Rock’s Prog-magazine website at 10am (GMT+1).

Kie von Hertzen, director of the music videos, says: “We were looking for Danny Boyle, David Lynch, Tarkovski, Miyazaki, Kaurismäki and Spede Pasanen in the spirit of the brisk half surrealistic chase-feel. We also tried to give honour to Sompasaari, the vibrant and Berlin’esque no man’s land in the heart of Helsinki, which will soon be lost in history as a vague wasteland once a new residential area is completed”. Shedding light on the plotline of the video, “The possessed brothers are fleeing for their lives from the black gold-masked ghosts through deserted outskirts of the city. A shipping container-built coffee shop ‘Ihana kahvila’ works as a meeting place. Drummer Kaakkuriniemi is kidnapped by the twisted Sheik-Juha (keyboardist). Deception floats in the air. Will the possessed face the reaper or will the force be with them?”

Von Hertzen Brothers are internationally acclaimed, most recently with nominations in widely respected industry awards. The new album ‘Nine Lives’ has been nominated by Classic Rock Awards in the category of ‘Best Rock Album of The Year‘ where the brothers are competing with Queens of Stone Age, David Bowie, Steven Wilson, Black Sabbath and Rival Sons.

Also in this years Progressive Music Awards categories, Von Hertzen Brothers have two nominations: ‘Anthem Of The Year‘ with ‘Flowers And Rust’, their first single from the album ‘Nine Lives’ and ‘Breakthrough Artist Of The Year‘. The results will be announced on September 3rd at the Awards gala held in Kew Gardens, London which the brothers will be attending.

The band will be touring in Finland and UK during the upcoming fall:
