In 2026, Von Hertzen Brothers celebrate 25 years since our very first live show as a band. It feels like a good moment to pause, look back, and celebrate the journey so far — the records we made, the shows we played, and the people who’ve been there with us along the way.

Throughout the year we’ll be releasing special editions of albums that were important turning points for us, many of which have been out of print for a long time. There’ll also be new merch, special live shows and plenty more stuff to share with you as we dig through the archives.

Phase 1 started with two albums that were seminal in band’s story: ‘Approach’ and ‘Love Remains The Same.’

Phase 2 pre-orders are open now for release on 10th July 2026 and this time ‘Stars Aligned’ and ‘Nine Lives’, have been given the special treatment.  Both have been remastered and will come on limited edition coloured vinyl and CD with new T-shirt designed inspired by the original artwork.

Reviewing the album on release, PROG magazine described it as sounding like “the entire Led Zeppelin and Yes catalogues hurled into a giant sequin-encrusted blender manned by Jeff Lynne, Frank Zappa and Andy Partridge,” praising its “beautiful but strange world of multi-layered analogue warmth and limitless imagination.” That’ll do!

The 2026 anniversary edition of Stars Aligned will be released on limited marbled double vinyl LP, alongside CD editions in upgraded gatefold packaging.

The album went to No.2 in Finland and reached the UK Rock Album Chart.

Nine Lives was the VHB discovery point for many fans outside Finland. The album’s huge power ballad ‘Flowers and Rust’ became one of the band’s signature songs, later winning the prestigious “Anthem of the Year” award at the Progressive Music Awards in London.

The 2026 edition of Nine Lives will be available on limited earth brown double vinyl LP alongside upgraded CD editions.
